![]() ![]() In this magnificent offering we recount an epic event which some consider greatly assisted in the reparation of British and American relations in the Victorian Age: the visit of Buffalo Bill's Wild West to Earl's Court, London, May 1887, the year of Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. We present most of the various elements of the performance: the grand entrance, an indian encampment and ceremonial dance, attack on the Deadwood stage, a buffalo hunt, Annie Oakley, cowboy, indian and vaquero horsemanship, an attack on a settler's cabin and the presentation of colors to the Queen. |
