Queen's Own Corps of Guides Fort under attack! Part 1

Alexander Jordan - 2Feb13 4:57PM

Pic #1 I always was fascinated by the Queen's Own Corps of Guides (both the real British Indian Army Regiment and Mr. Hocker's set #8) especially after watching the HBO mini-series "The Far Pavilions" with my parents as a boy in the mid-1980's. My brother & I used recreate the "Kabul Residency under attack!" with our extensive Britains Deetail toy soldier collection and our Dad would help too! Anyhow, over the past 10 years I've collected, bought, ordered, special-ordered, painted & re-painted (only the Britains & Britains-reproductions were painted/repainted) all of these Corps of Guides toy soldiers shown. A true "labor of love" and why we continue to collect and display our toy soldiers!
