Scenes from the War of 1812

Austin Strutt - 5Mar25 3:16PM

Sharing some handsome Hocker Toy Soldiers on display.

On their way to the Niagara frontier, the impressive British Infantry Column of set No.284 marches past the Darnley Grist Mill near the village of Dundas; built here from turn-of-the-century Richter Anchor Blocks with some Britains lead accessories. From a Canadian Collector.

I purchased this set second hand and it was unfortunately housed in the wrong box, specifically for set No272/12 (US Infantry Column 1813) dated from December of 2002. Perhaps this will provide a clue to the true identity of this set.
